Using Noteboo

You may use Noteboo for your own meetings, personal or professional. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any requirement to tell other participants that a meeting is being transcribed or recorded. Recording laws differ by place; when in doubt, let people know.

You must be at least 16 and able to enter into this agreement. Keep your account credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content

Your agendas, transcripts, recaps, recordings and voiceprints are yours. We claim no ownership of them. You give us only the limited permission needed to process them so the product can work, as described in the privacy policy. If you use Noteboo Cloud, that includes storing your synced meetings so you, and agents you connect, can access them.

AI output

Transcripts, nudges and recaps are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or miss nuance. Treat them as a helpful draft, not a record of fact. Review anything important before you rely on it or share it.

Plans

• The Free plan is the full app, with your meetings stored on your Mac. It costs nothing.
• Noteboo Cloud is an optional subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance at the price shown when you subscribe, through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the app. Cloud stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed after that.
• After Cloud ends, your cloud data stays readable and deletable for 30 days, and is then deleted, as described in the privacy policy. The copy on your Mac is not affected.
• We may change Cloud prices. A new price applies to your subscription only from your next renewal after we tell you about it.
• Cloud does not include AI usage. AI is paid for separately on every plan, as described below.

Agent access

You can connect AI agents to your meetings over MCP. Agent access is read-only. You are responsible for the agents and agent tokens you set up, and for what those agents and their providers do with what they read; their own terms apply to them. Keep agent tokens secret, and revoke any you no longer use.

Pricing, credits and your own keys

• The app is free to use. The AI it calls is not, on any plan.
• If you bring your own OpenRouter key, OpenRouter bills you directly under their terms. We do not charge you for app usage.
• Noteboo credits are prepaid. Usage is deducted at the AI provider’s cost plus 10%. Credits never expire.
• Credits are not transferable and, except where the law requires otherwise, are not refundable once purchased. If something goes wrong with a purchase, email us and we will sort it out.
• Prices and pack sizes may change; changes do not affect credits you already hold.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Noteboo to transcribe or record people where that is unlawful or without any consent the law requires;
• attempt to break, reverse engineer or bypass the app’s security, usage limits or billing;
• use the service to build a competing product by systematically extracting its output;
• use it for anything unlawful or harmful.

Beta software

While Noteboo is in beta, features may change, break or be removed. We may limit access and we may end the beta at any time.

Warranty and liability

Noteboo is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, Onta Labs Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Noteboo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as your content, liability and governing law) continue after the agreement ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Noteboo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
